Flight operations are currently at the Brookings Airport , which is approximately a five minute drive from campus.  Flight operations are held in newly renovated loft in the SDSU Aviation Hangar and maintenance is performed on the floor below.  The fleet is then stored in another newly built hangar near the SDSU Flight Operations building.

The majority of classroom teaching is held on campus in smart classrooms.  The FTD is also on camps and is often utilized in class demonstrations and projects.  The faculty offices are on campus as well, and this allows students to stop by for a scheduled or unscheduled appointment.  We try to keep our class sizes to fifteen students or less to ensure that students get more one-on-one attention.  Students here are people and important parts of the program, and we are proud of the fact that we know them all as individuals.  We often are told that the SDSU Aviation program has a far more personable and friendly atmosphere than other aviation institutions.
